Izumiya has always been famous throughout the Nishikigoi world for Jumbo Koi and breeds Yamabuki Ogon, GoSanke and Goromo varieties of the highest quality.
Izumiya is world renowned for producing the finest Yamabuki Ogon in Japan and many examples have surpassed the magical 1 meter mark.
The farm, is said to be by many to be the first real Koi shop in the world and was first constructed as long ago as 1962 – although the family started breeding Nishikigoi way back in 1938.
Owner Senichi Mano plays a vital part in the breeders associations in and around the Ojiya area as well as playing an important role in the National Shinkokai organisation. He is a true legend and commands great respect from breeders in the area.

Koromo meaning ‘robed’ in Japanese are characterised by a white base with a red Beni pattern overlaid with a distinct net like reticulation giving them a unique appearance. Izumiya Koromo are particularly esteemed for their exceptional growth potential with some individuals reaching in excess of 90cm!
